In 2018, the Rhode Island School of Real Estate was founded with a clear focus on teaching through real-life experiences and seeking out innovative ways to engage students and encourage participation. A passion for teaching makes the learning process both practical and enjoyable.
Rhode Island School of Real Estate was relaunched in 2022 with the same passion for superior education to the community of Real Estate Agents, both current and future. The current team of Bill Fain (Broker/Owner of Brown Group Realty), Jeannine Harrington (Broker/Owner of Brown Group Realty), Denise Mann (Real Estate Agent/Administrator Brown Group Realty), and Deana Bobbin (Senior Loan Originator of Cross Country Mortgage) took over the charge of practical, thoughtful real estate instruction.
With many years of teaching experience amongst them, the new team is committed to offering the same great classes the school has been known for and writing/offering new classes to keep up with the changes in the industry. With an informative and interactive approach with students, their goal is to provide the tools and knowledge needed to be the best in the profession while having fun learning.
Working in Real Estate requires strong negotiation, communication, problem solving skills along with a clear understanding and knowledge of Real Estate Laws. Knowledge is Power and Bill, Jeannine, Denise, and Deana are excited to see the school continue to grow.
Rhode Island School of Real Estate offers both Pre-Licensing courses for aspiring agents, Continuing Education Courses for Real Estate Agents, as well as Broker Pre-Licensing and Broker Management Classes. While you will find the owners teaching many courses offered, they also have local experts, approved by the State, who will be instructing courses in their given professions.

Bill Fain
Bill Fain is a real estate investor, counselor and broker based in Southern New England. He is a founder and general partner of the investment group, JB3. He also holds several real estate investments in a personal limited liability company.
Bill is a long time advocate of private property rights doing seminars on selling, buying and marketing of unique homes. He has always held a contrarian view of conventional methods and yet is considered a trusted resource. Bill holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and is a licensed real estate broker in 4 states.
Jeannine Harrington
Jeannine Harrington is a real estate broker and owner of The Brown Group Realty, licensed in Rhode Island and Connecticut. She has been advising her clients through various transactions since 2002.
Few things are as critical and fundamental to your real estate career as education. Jeannine brings her real-life experience to her classroom, with a true desire to elevate her profession.
Jeannine currently lives in South County with her family. She dedicates much of her free time to volunteer pursuits including the local PTO, animal rescue efforts and fundraising for Habitat for Humanity and RICAN.
Jeannine is a state approved instructor for pre-license and continuing education classes. She is a certified negotiation specialist and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Rhode Island.
Deana Bobbin
Deana is a Rhode Island Native with over 20 years of experience in the Mortgage industry.
As a Mortgage Originator, Deana is committed to providing not only the level of service her clients deserve, but also the education needed to buy a home confidently.
She has enjoyed holding Home Buyer Seminars for several years as well as serving as an instructor for RISoRE. She is very excited to now be co-owner of such a great institution.
One of Deana’s biggest accomplishments in her career came in 2021 where she finished the year in the top 1% of Mortgage Originators in the Country. Although she is always grateful for awards and recognition, her biggest joy is assisting clients in achieving the dream of homeownership. Deana loves to share her expertise in the mortgage field with her continuing education students.
In her personal life, Deana has been married for 28 years to her husband Jeff and they have raised two beautiful children, Tyler and Alexa in South County. Both Deana and Jeff enjoyed several years in the Pop Warner Organization coaching Football and Cheerleading where they enjoyed working with children of all ages. In her free time now, you can usually find Deana with her dog Ella as she is a huge animal lover. She also enjoys everything about summer including her favorite spot the beach and above all, everything she does she LOVES to do it with her family.
Denise Mann
With a double bachelor’s degree in accounting and entrepreneurship from Johnson & Wales University, Denise brings a strong and diverse background of educational, work and life experiences to the classroom.
Currently her time is fulfilled as the office manager/bookkeeper/Realtor for The Brown Group Realty, partner/owner of RI School of Real Estate and working as a staff accountant for a CPA firm in Groton Connecticut.
Denise was a Rhode Island native throughout most of her life until moving to the beautiful country of Eastern Connecticut with her husband, Graham, several years ago. Graham and Denise have two grown sons and daughters-in-laws, all health professionals. They stay busy with their beautiful two year old granddaughter, Adeline (Addy), four wonderful fluffy fur babies: Misty the Newfoundland, Charley the Golden Retriever and Murphy (Aka: BooBoo) the Great Pyrenees, Marie the Cat. Chickens too. Hiking, fishing, gardening, antiquing and antique cars are just a few of their favorite hobbies.
